Early lamps such as this 'Touchlight' from the late 1940's were a hit with housewives as they were light and easy to move.
The distinctive barrel-weighted balancing mechanism that distinguishes Hadrill and Horstmann lamps, often known as "Rollers" allowed the company to produce affordable products at a lower price than other larger established companies.
This lamp also features a fold away magnifying glass.
