Circa 1920s.
A great rare early survivor visible petrol bowser. This Gilbert and Barker bowser dates to the 1920s and was made in Australia.
This visible petrol pump is in good condition considering its age. The glass cylinder has no chips or cracks; rusting is minimal, and the pump still has its original petrol globe holder.
We had to un-install this pump as it was sitting on a dairy farm still attached to the storage tank where it had been for the past 70 years, we have been told.
